Overview
As our Infusion Nurse at CHI Health’s CUMC-Bergan Mercy Hospital, you’ll excel in your nursing career by providing care to patients undergoing, non-chemo & chemo infusions and injections.
Your success in this role comes from your enthusiasm to help others - with a patient first mindset. You’re adept at insertion of mid-lines and peripherally inserted central catheters and experienced in providing patients and families with emotional support, information and guidance.
Responsibilities
What You'll Do
Provide direct patient care, evaluate outcomes, collaborate with other specialists as required.
Assess and reassess pain and pain management techniques utilized.
Maintain, clean and disinfect medical equipment after use.
Answer telephone calls in a professional manner
Function as liaison between administration, patients, physicians and other healthcare providers.
Maintain a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients and families.
Qualifications
What You’ll Need
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license that allows you to practice in our state
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association required upon hire
Chemo Certification within 6 months from hire from ONS
Other specialty certifications may be required after hire
Pay Range
$28.20 - $40.89 /hour
