Chris Preble is working with a client of his in Oneida that is looking to hire a Plant Controller. This organization has really good benefit package, target bonus of 25%, 401k match and more. This role will be a key strategic position to the organization.

The Plant Controller responsibilities include managing all accounting activities, financial planning, reporting, and analysis to ensure the plant's financial health and compliance with corporate policies. The Plant Controller will work closely with plant management to drive financial performance and support operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Management:

• Oversee all plant accounting operations including cost accounting, inventory management, budgeting, and forecasting.

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with corporate guidelines.

• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance internal controls.

• Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Lead the annual budgeting process for the plant, including the preparation of budgets and forecasts.

• Monitor and report on financial performance, comparing actual results to budget and forecasts, and providing variance analysis.

• Cost Control:

• Analyze production costs and identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.

• Work with plant management to implement cost-saving initiatives and monitor their effectiveness.

• Financial Reporting:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for plant and corporate management.

• Ensure timely and accurate submission of all required financial reports.

• Operational Support:

• Partner with plant management to provide financial insights and support for operational decisions.

• Conduct financial analysis of capital investment proposals and other strategic initiatives.

  Requirements

• Must have manufacturing industry experience

• Must have solid inventory accounting experience

• MBA or CPA is an asset
