Job Description

We are looking to hire a skilled drives application engineer with knowledge on AC-drives, drive control algorithm, drive parametrizations. The candidate shall have experience and knowledge of heavy industry applications. Shall be capable to interpret customer requirements and develop controller system software based on customer needs. You will be traveling to clients' locations, analyzing system requirements, writing, and installing custom programmable logic code, testing system, provide operationalsupport& contribute for Site Acceptance Tests.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

• Understanding customer specifications and provides basic and detailed engineering during drive system design including automation configuration, detailed IO list etc.

• Reading and interpreting the logical flow diagram & explaining to the clients how electrical components operate.

• Creating new logics or editing existing drive software’s & PLC logic as per the application requirement.

• Contribute for successful startup and commissioning of Heavy industry & Electrification projects.

• Support commissioning team / project team for closure of application / site requirements.

• Study existing customer installed automation and propose a compatible Danfoss solution and support on Retrofit projects with Danfoss solution.

• Preparing operational philosophies and SOPs for the user to understand the safe O&M of application.

• Simulation of developed program to validate the requirements for fulfillment.

• Providing support during system installation and commissioning. Active involvement in troubleshooting any issues during the tenure of commissioning.

• Maintaining the library of Danfoss drives software and PLC programs.

• Working in coordination with Solution & proposal team to Win orders and for trouble free execution.

• Development and interfacing of Human Machine Interface (HMI) Graphic Screens for industrial projects.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers and consultant.

The ideal candidate possesses these skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or a related degree.

• In-depth knowledge of Fieldbus communication protocols.

• Strong knowledge about Industrial Automation Customer Applications.

• Strong knowledge of PLC, DCS Hardware and Software (Siemens/Allen Bradley/BECKHOFF/B&R/ABB/Schneider/Honeywell/Yokogawa, Foxboro… etc)

• At least 9-15 years’ experience in Drives & Automation.

• Experience in doing verification/validation testing of industrial communication protocols (PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, BACnet/IP, MODBUS TCP, POWERLINK, PROFIBUS DP, DeviceNet,)

• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

• Strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills.

• Quality mindset and ability to go to details by asking questions.

• High motivation and leading by examples.

• Skills and qualifications to open and work in electrical cabinets.

• Availability to travel for local & global projects

• Experience in handling retrofit projects

• Understanding in the levels of automation

• Basic knowledge on VFDs and its industrial applications
