Robert Half Benefits Administrator in Orlando, Florida

Description

We are looking for a Benefits Administrator to join our team in the Construction/Contractor industry, based in Orlando, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for a range of administrative tasks, including coordinating new hire setup, managing employee records, and assisting with compliance issues. You will also have a key role in coordinating team member events and managing office supplies.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the setup for new hires, including office space, supplies, and computer equipment

• Oversee the completion of employee onboarding, including handling I-9 and E-Verify documents

• Maintain up-to-date employment and training records for filing and records retention

• Complete data entry in HRIS system for new hires, compensation changes, and manager updates

• Provide back up for entering terminations into HRIS and with payroll processing responsibilities

• Coordinate required training, screenings, and certification completions for all new hires and monitor their progress

• Assist with compliance issues with Federal, State, & local requirements, ensuring labor postings are updated and all locations have necessary materials

• Conduct periodic/scheduled audits of employee files and data

• Coordinate mass mailings and deliveries to team members as needed

• Maintain and distribute office and breakroom supplies, maintain control of inventory, and replace supplies as necessary

• Coordinate equipment service needs and building facilities

• Assist with other related administrative/clerical duties for all departments such as shipping, scanning, photocopying, filing, and creating business correspondence.

Requirements

• A minimum of one year of experience in a Benefits Administrator role or similar within the construction or contractor industry

• Demonstrated skills in Corporate HR and Human Resources (HR) Administration

• Comprehensive understanding of benefits administration, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other applicable employee benefits

• Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to benefits programs

• Proficiency in using HRIS systems and other related software for benefits administration

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with employees and benefits providers

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in all tasks

• Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to make informed decisions

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
