Job Title: Controls Engineer

Job Description

The Controls Engineer, Ride Systems, is tasked with designing, programming, testing, and commissioning control systems for various applications including ride control systems, show control systems, animation control systems, and special effects control systems in theme park attractions. This role involves detailed coordination with engineering teams and direct interaction with clients and other vendors. Responsibilities include creating large scale control system designs, developing design drawings and documentation, overseeing parts procurement and fabrication processes, software development, preparing equipment for testing, and on-site commissioning of control systems.

Hard Skills

• PLC programming and commissioning

• Experience with Siemens and Beckhoff industrial control systems

• Motor drives, sensors, and industrial control system equipment specification and configuration

• Hydraulic power systems configuration and commissioning

• EPLAN software

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar

• Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat

• Computer networking and system administration

• Safety PLC

Soft Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Good judgment with attention to detail and follow-up

• Flexibility for domestic and international travel
