NBC Universal Internship – Marketing Analytics (Spring 2025) in Orlando, Florida

    JOB SUMMARY:

As part of the Cross Channel Attribution (CCA) team, the intern will receive end-to-end project learning, including validating marketing analysis data, interpreting and analyzing marketing metrics using analytical skills, and uncovering insights into media investment and marketing strategy performance. The intern will also gain a broader understanding of internal and external teams, including Data Science, Integrated Media Analytics (IMA), and Media Activation, fostering collaboration and contributing to broader marketing objectives. Additionally, the intern will support marketing strategy and planning by utilizing statistical analysis and optimization insights. Through their contributions, the intern will achieve hands-on experience in optimizing media budgets, enhancing cross-channel marketing performance, and ensuring alignment with business goals while achieving their learning goals.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborates with the Manager and Senior Manager of Media Measurement & Optimization to objectively evaluate Universal Orlando's and Universal Hollywood's marketing strategies.

  • Provides insights to improve the effectiveness of marketing strategies, optimize media budgets and investments, and enhance overall business impact.

  • Employs advanced statistical methodologies to conduct causal analyses of offers to quantify, evaluate, and analyze their effectiveness and ROI.

  • Analyzes media performance and assist in media budget optimization while collaborating with internal teams such as Data Science and Integrated Media Analytics and external teams, including Media Activation.

  • Compiles, analyzes, and validates processes and data to provide a comprehensive view of marketing efforts.

  • Assists in creating data-driven presentations that are easy for stakeholders to understand.

  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION:

  • In pursuit of a Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution.

  • Recent graduates will not be eligible for this program.

  • Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.

  • An official transcript may be required upon request.

  • Preferred majors include: Business Analytics, Statistics, Marketing Analytics, Data Science, Mathematics, Analytics, Economics, or related quantitative field.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Preferable skills for success in role include but not limited to:

  • Proficiency with Tableau or other data visualization tools preferred.

  • Intermediate database knowledge and understanding of SQL preferred.

  • Basic understanding of Python/R preferred.

  • Understanding of statistics and regression analysis preferred.

  • Must be efficient in Microsoft Office Programs including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities and organization.

  • Exceptional attention to detail.

  • Superior written & verbal communication skills.

  • Work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines.

  • Ability to work autonomously and/or in teams.

  • Consistent attendance.

  • This internship will be a hybrid experience, based in our Orlando offices.

  • Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than April 2025.
