NBC Universal Internship – Travel Industry Sales, Marketing & Sales (Spring 2025) in Orlando, Florida

Universal Destinations & Experiences Internship Program:

    JOB SUMMARY:

This intern role will learn about the business-to-business travel agency sales channel for the United States and Canada, operated by Universal Parks & Resorts Vacations. This trade channel is now the largest trade channel for North America for the company and will require the intern to learn the complexities and nuances of developing and managing this type of trade business while supporting the development of a large-scale conference. Intern will also gain experience in event management through hosted client training events.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports the planning and logistics of the third agent conference for U-Preferred.

  • Supports account management, client communications via email, reporting, and merchandise inventory and fulfillment.

  • Develops presentation skills, both live and webinar presentations.

  • Reads and runs reports, prepares for training events and conducts competitive analyses of competitors.

  • Utilizes software such as SalesForce.

  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION:

  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Senior or above. Recent graduates will not be eligible for this program.

  • Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.

  • An official transcript may be required upon request.

  • Preferred majors include: Business, Event Management, Hospitality.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Preferable skills for success in role include but not limited to:

  • Strong presentation skills required.

  • Must be efficient in Microsoft Office Programs including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities and organization.

  • Exceptional attention to detail.

  • Superior written & verbal communication skills.

  • Work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines.

  • Ability to work autonomously and/or in teams.

  • Consistent attendance.

  • This internship will be a hybrid experience, based in our Orlando offices.

  • Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than April 2025.

  • Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
