Job Title: Process Technician

Job Description

Seeking a production employee to manufacture and blend high-end gel coat chemical products (paint) for products with a fiberglass exterior such as boats, RVs, bathtubs, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Checking the big batch schedule to determine the product to be mixed during the shift

  • Obtaining the appropriate batch slip from the production office

  • Reviewing raw materials listed on the batch ticket and verifying their availability

  • Recording required information on the batch ticket, mixing batches according to procedures, taking samples from mix tanks, making spray-ups for color matches, and taking samples, spray-ups, and batch tickets to the lab for testing.

  • You will also work on other batches while testing, pack out batches into containers per ticket instructions, record weights, ensure proper labeling and storage, and maintain accurate records.

Work Environment

This is a fully on-site position in Orlando, Florida. Work in a lab/production environment of a small chemical manufacturer. Blue-collar setting. Currently operating on two shifts Monday through Friday with plans for a third shift. Shifts: 1st shift 6am-2pm, 2nd shift 2pm-10pm, 3rd shift 10pm-6am. Training available on first or second shift. Typically Monday to Friday, but must be okay with Saturdays and overtime. Saturday shifts from 6am-noon.
