Osgood Bank wants you as our Commercial Lender for our Franchise Division to manage existing commercial portfolio customer relationships and look for opportunities to expand these relationships. Identify and prospect new business inside Bank's approved client network. Work within approved lending authority based on experience. Must have ability to travel to clients, comprising up to 25% of the position's duties.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience in commercial lending, credit analysis, loan portfolio management and customer service

EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

Functions:

  • Interview loan applicant and obtain required financial information and tax returns for both new loan requests, and for renewals.
  • Compile underwriting information and work with the Bank's Credit Analysts to develop a complete financial analysis of the applicant's cash flow and financial status, including the applicant's credit history. Collateral valuation will also be a part of this process.
  • Correspond with the applicant to resolve questions regarding the financial information that has been provided to the Bank. As necessary, negotiate loan terms, loan covenants, interest rates and loan fees.
  • Approve the loan request within the individual lender's assigned lending authority or refer the loan request to the Division's Director and/or the Bank's Loan Committee, for approval. Ensure the correct risk grade is assigned to each loan.
  • Close approved loan(s) and ensure that all loan documents and all loan agreements are complete and accurate, according to the Bank's Lending Policy.
  • When a loan request is denied, communicate with the client in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Meet expectations through managing commercial loan portfolios while continuing to expand prospective new business within the bank's approved client network. Monitor individual loan pipelines on a regular basis.
  • Under the direction of the Division's Director or Manager, manage the loan relationships that become delinquent, by taking appropriate action. Develop written action plans on situations where delinquency has the possibility or probability of becoming a serious problem. Make recommendations, when necessary, regarding delinquent loan(s).
  • Maintain updated knowledge of banking regulations and industry trends to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Build customer rapport and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Provide advice & guidance to clients on banking solutions.
  • Familiar with bank products and services to recommend and refer new services to customers based on their needs including new deposit accounts.
  • Ability to travel as necessary for client meetings, conferences and conventions, a minimum of 25% of position's duties.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
