JOB REQUIREMENTS: Official Title: Groundskeeper Lead Business Title: Employment Class: University Staff FTE: 1.0 Compensation: Minimum \$17.00/hour, commensurate with experience FLSA Status: Non-exempt Terms of Employment: Continuous Position Summary: Directs and coordinates activities of workers engaged in landscaping, gardening, grounds keeping, and tree pruning activities to ensure completion of grounds work assignments. Responsibilities Directs day to day operational activities of various lawn & landscape projects Monitors staff & assists with basic training Assists with organizing layout of planting sites, plants & material, researches & evaluates new material & equipment Installs & maintains the health of new & existing plants, turf, & trees in the landscape using a variety of equipment Properly identifies & remedies plant & insect damage Maintains cleanliness of entire campus Perform snow removal duties with focus on quality, safety, & efficient execution Qualifications Required: Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion Ability to perform manual labor including; lifting, bending, stopping, twisting & other motions for extended periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation Work experience operating equipment (Mowers, tractors, variety of vehicles, varying small engine equipment, & snow removal equipment) Hands on experience planting & maintaining woody & herbaceous plants Experience with snow removal efforts High school diploma or equivalent Knowledge of safety considerations / precautions &...
