Official Title: Groundskeeper Working Title: Groundskeeper Employment Class: University Staff Terms of Appointment: Continuous FTE: 1.0 FLSA Status: Non-exempt Compensation: \$15.00/hour Oshkosh Department Shift: 6 a.m. - 2 p.m. Position Summary: Maintains and landscapes lawns, planting beds, and fields. Inspects grounds to ensure conditions meet institutional grounds keeping stndards. Must pass a pre-work screen to ensure the ability to perform essential physical functions of the position. Must have a valid WI driver\'s license and be authorized to drive a university vehicle upon appointment. This position will require a criminal background investigation. Responsibilities: Installs, propagates, and maintains the health of new and existing plants and landscape using a variety of vehicles and equipment. Constructs lawn and landscaping projects including soil grading, seeding, and sodding. Identifies and acts to remedy plant diseases and insect damage. Implements and monitors chemical and fertilizer programs. Required: Ability to perform manual labor including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, stooping, twisting and other motions for extended periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation.
