JOB REQUIREMENTS: Official Title: Nurse Practitioner Business Title: Nurse Practitioner Employment Class: Non-Instructional Academic Staff FTE: .75 Compensation: \$93,000-\$104,000 as base salary FLSA Status: Exempt Terms of Employment: 12-month, Annual, Fixed Term Renewable Position Summary: Provides primary medical care to students at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and referral with an emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention. Demonstrates a strong interest and background in teaching and training along with the ability to provide culturally competent and sensitive medical services to a racially, ethnically, and culturally diverse population. Independently performs clinical job responsibilities with consultation available by a university contracted physician as needed. Must commit to a flexible work schedule which might include some evening and/or weekend hours throughout the academic year. Evaluates, diagnoses, treats, and manages acute and chronic illness and disease including mental health and minor injuries. Obtains medical histories, conducts physical examinations, and assesses and determines differential diagnosis. Prescribes medication, therapy, and treatments accordingly.
