Aerotek Avionic Technicians in Ottawa, Ontario

Aerotek is the largest private recruitment firm here in Canada. We have been providing job opportunities for over 30 years around the world. We are currently looking for an Avionics Technician to support a company in the Montreal OR Halifax OR Ottawa OR Toronto region.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

Install and test avionics equipment and complex electrical systems on aircraft or spacecraft.

Ensure that all avionics equipment is functioning properly before takeoff and does not interfere with any other electronic devices.

Remove, repair and reinstall any problematic avionics equipment before an aircraft is cleared for takeoff.

Production of complex and highly reliable welds on components for navigation, missile control and communication.

Assembly and installation of electrical components.

Provide accurate diagnostics of difficult avionics problems.

Organize ground support and test equipment for flight testing.

Analyze flight test data to diagnose malfunctions and study the operation of electrical components.

Coordinate all work with engineers, technicians and aircraft maintenance personnel.

Maintain detailed records of all repairs and work performed on the aircraft.

1) Details of the work in Montreal:

Schedule: Day / Evening / Night

Language: French OR English

Regular contractor salary: $30 to $45/hr

Incorporated contractor salary: $40 to $52/hr

Per Diem + Housing: for all contractors coming from outside Montreal

1.a) Required from contractors for Montreal:

Minimum 3 years of experience

License E optional

diploma in avionics maintenance or equivalents recognized in Quebec

1.b) Requirements for the permanent position for Montreal:

Diploma in avionics maintenance or equivalents

if without diploma: License (E) is absolutely necessary

2) Details of the work in Halifax:

Schedule: Day / Evening / Night

Language: English OR French

Salary: $40 to $45/hr

Per diem + Accommodation + Transportation

2.a) Requirements for the work in Halifax:

License E optional

2-3 years of experience in avionics maintenance

Diploma in the field

3) Details of the work in Toronto / Ottawa

Schedule: 5 5 4 (Rotation every 2 weeks Day and evening)

Duration: Permanent

English language

Salary: $30 - $55/hr

3.a) Requirements for the work in Toronto / Ottawa

minimum 3 years of experience in avionics maintenance
