Type of Position: Adjunct Faculty, Exempt

Work Schedule, Hours per week: Hours and days will vary. Varies hours per week

Pay Range: varies and determined based on relevant years of work experience.

Position Summary: Teach the equivalent of 3-6 credit hours per semester in the Hospitality Management area, with an emphasis in food and beverage management and culinary arts classes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated strong organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to teach using different delivery modes (face to face and online)
  • Associates degree or higher in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Management, Culianry Arts or related field
  • ServSafe Certified in Foodservice Sanitation
  • Minimum of five years industry experience with specialty in food and beverage management or a position as a chef
  • Demonstrated classroom teaching experience that incorporates development of critical thinking and decision making skills
  • Demonstrated leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A sensitivity to, and understanding of, the diverse academic, socio-economic, cultural, ethnic, and abilities backgrounds of community college students
  • CCC or CEC certification by the ACF
  • ServSafe Certified Instructor/Proctor in Foodservice Sanitation l
  • Supervisory responsibilities in a hospitality enterprise
  • Postsecondary teaching experience
