Summary

Simplot Silica Sands is accepting applications for a Laborer for the safe operation in a mining environment. General Laborers work in various areas and perform a variety of jobs and tasks required to maintain smooth operation and to assist when specific needs arise.

Key Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Ability to work safely throughout the plant and mine site

• General plant clean-up including shoveling, sweeping, and washing

• Operating heavy equipment including haul trucks, cat loaders, forklifts, skid steer

• Equipment maintenance

• Working around rotating machinery

• Ability to lift 50 pounds

• Ability to work rotating shifts (days, afternoons, & nights) Ability to work required overtime.

Typical Education

• GED or High School Equivalent

Relevant Experience

• 6 months experience in a laborer position

Other Information

• Must have an acceptable safety record.

• Must have an acceptable attendance record.

• Must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision.

• Shift Schedule:

• Morning: 4:00 AM - 12:30 PM

• Afternoon: 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM

• Night: 8:00 PM - 4:30 AM
