Lockheed Martin Digital/RF Test Equipment Build Technician in Owego, New York

Description: Lockheed Martin is seeking a motivated Technician in Owego, NY to support the Digital/RF test equipment build team. This position will require the ability to grasp concepts and techniques to support procurement, utilize manufacturing processes, and assembly of custom test racks. The Technician will work from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. Technicians on this team will work under the supervision of a senior technical lead and will support various programs, including internal capital, research and development, and contracts for U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force programs.

The Technician will primarily work in a lab environment and be responsible for asset management for test equipment and calibrated lab assets. Additional lab oversight of general lab housekeeping and organization are also required. They may also drive process improvements and will work closely with an integrated product team consisting of electrical, mechanical, and software engineers.

General responsibilities for this position may include tasks such as:

- Asset Management for Test Equipment & Calibrated Lab Assets

- Procurement support & order tracking

- Receiving orders and staging per job

- Management of Production data in SAP and Routings for Test Equipment

- Generating and Maintaining As-Built Lists and S/N Tracking

- Support Certification Preparation and Verifying Readiness

- Assistance with Build and Assembly activities

- Verification of Build to Print Package

The Locale: Owego, New York is located about 200 miles northwest of New York City and about 75 miles south of Syracuse New York. Owego sits just north of the border with Pennsylvania and is part of what's known as the "Southern Tier" section of New York State. The region is home to Binghamton University and Cornell University. Niagara Falls, NYC, & Philadelphia are all within a few hours’ drive from Owego. Basic Qualifications:

- Ability & Experience using hand tools

- Familiarity with MS Office Tools

Desired Skills:

- Ability & Experience reading mechanical and electrical drawings

- Familiarity loading commercial software (i.e. Windows OS, drivers, etc.)

- Familiarity with Enterprise Product Data Management (EPDM)

- 1+ Years Experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $39,500 - $75,800 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $45,500 - $82,400. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
