Summary:#Responsible for verifying and reconciling payment data from various sources, including insurance companies and patients, ensuring that all transactions are recorded correctly in the financial system for the full health system. Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies, contribute to month-end closing processes, and generate reports to support financial analysis and decision-making. Responsible for accuracy of cash logs for all AR departments within the health system. Duties:# * Verify daily bank deposits * Log all insurance and patient payments daily and complete system balancing to ensure that all payments are accounted for * Perform account reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner * Identify and research all cash balancing issues in a timely manner *Resolve all cash balancing discrepancies on a daily basis * Ensure appropriate use of adjustment codes and denial codes to allow for appropriate workflow and trending *Assisting with month-end bank reconciliations for all entities within the health system *Serve as a back-up for all cash posting staff *Responsible for training all new AR Posting Specialists *Collaborate with billing, collections, and other departments to ensure accurate financial records *Contribute to continuous process improvements for cash posting and reconciliation Required:#High school diploma. #Preferred to have 5+ years of Healthcare cash posting and reconciliation experience. #Must have experience with bank deposits. # Possesses strong organizational and time management skills with keen attention to detail. # Proficient computer skills with experience in Microsoft Excel. #Demonstrated analytical skills necessary to provide timely resolution of day-to-day issues. #Highly dependable in both production and attendance. #Proven communication and leadership skills and ability to problem solve within and outside of the PFS department.
