Schneider Electric USA Inc Environmental Health & Safety Engineer in Oxford, Ohio
What will you do?
- Develop, implement, and maintain environmental, health, and safety programs and policies
- Conduct regular facility wide inspections and audits to identify & correct potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulations
- Provide training and guidance to employees on safety protocols and best practices
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to identify root causes and implement preventive measures
- Stay updated on environmental, health, and safety regulations and ensure organizational compliance
- Participate in the design and review of facilities and processes to ensure safety and environmental standards are met
- Develop emergency response plans and participate in emergency drills and exercises
What skills and capabilities will make you successful?
- Bachelor's degree required
- 2-5 years of experience in environmental engineering, occupational health and safety, or related field
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in EHS
- Aware of ISO environment regulations and principles, workers' compensation and injury management.
- Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, State and Federal safety rules and regulations.
- Commitment to promoting a culture of safety and environmental stewardship
- Certification in EHS (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) is a plus
