Position summary:

We are currently looking for a highly competent Global Procurement Manager based in our Global Procurement hub in Panama, responsible for supporting the commercial and strategic sourcing activity for the Industrial Services Equipment Category used by Nestlé worldwide.

Reporting directly to the Global Category Manager, you will be responsible for implementing the category strategy for the Industrial Services Equipment spend in scope on a global level by using strategic sourcing processes, tools and policies.

A day in the life of a Global Procurement Manager for Industrial Services Equipment:

• Support the Global Category Manager in defining the category strategy.

• Execute key global sourcing projects to deliver expected cost reduction levels.

• Implement key Strategic Sourcing processes, tools and policies such as catalogue pricing, supplier management, standardisation, aggregation, and best cost country sourcing.

• Work closely with Corporate Engineering functions to support Nestlé’s global sustainability commitments.

• Perform supplier market/category/supply risk analysis and develop Total Cost Ownership (TCO) models to identify improvement opportunities.

• Create a competitive environment for Nestlé’s needs.

• Introduce and develop new suppliers.

• Negotiate contracts ensuring the most beneficial commercial agreements with suppliers in line with the strategy.

• Manage the relationship with market stakeholders to integrate the category strategy.

• Ensure compliance to Nestlé's Corporate Business Principles, policies and standards.

What makes you successful:

• University degree in either an engineering or a scientific subject, or in Procurement/Supply Chain.

• More than five years’ experience in Industrial Services or other technical equipment sourcing, supplier management or strategic procurement, ideally gained in an international environment.

• Strong flexibility and mental agility to work in a cross-functional environment within a highly complex global environment.

• Demonstrate successful use of effective category sourcing, risk management, responsible sourcing, and supplier relation management.

• Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with individuals across a global network.

• Fluency in English, any other languages will be an asset.
