We are currently looking for a dynamic Training Manager to join our Landing Gear division in Papendrecht. As a Training Manager, you will oversee, plan, and organize all training activities, ensuring compliance with certification and authorization requirements. Your responsibilities will include setting up and managing the Learning Management System (LMS) in cooperation with the Campus Academy, defining role-specific requirements in collaboration with Team Leaders to ensure the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and safety in our work. Fokker Landing Gear

Landing Gear, part of GKN Fokker Aerospace, is a recognized specialist in landing gear and related systems. We focus on the design and development, production and assembly of complete landing gears, as well as the repair and reassembly of systems already in use. In doing so, we work on the most famous aircraft and helicopters; think of the Apache combat helicopter, the F-35 Lightning II (JSF), the Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 and the multipurpose NH90 maritime combat helicopter.

What you'll do

  • Analyze and understand the technical training and development needs of our business and operations departments. Develop and track Learning & Development (L&D) KPIs.

  • Create, deploy, deliver, and manage both a general and role-specific curriculum for all employees, from operators on the shop floor to those in manufacturing engineering (ME), logistics, and supply chain. This curriculum should support lifelong learning and development. Fine-tune outcomes and collaborate closely with the Campus Academy.

  • Support the development of our Learning & Development System (LMS) to ensure it effectively supports both employees and managers in achieving training and development goals.

  • Create and maintain the curriculum as well as Training & Development documentation (e.g., guides, processes, templates). Develop and manage supporting toolkits for development and evaluation.

  • Evaluate and recommend the purchase of training and development opportunities (e.g., e-learning, face-to-face, blended).

  • Develop external supplier relationships and partnerships with schools and industrial partners.

  • Manage, coach, and develop internal tutors in collaboration with the L&D Officer. Deliver training packages both in the classroom and on the shop floor (Training Within Industry).

What you'll offer

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education/Technical degree or equivalent experience.

  • Experience in a comparable role in a technical/manufacturing environment.

  • Passion for technology and for people development.

  • Coordinating skills and experience in the design of (technical) learning curriculum, programs and learning activities using multiple learning delivery approaches.

  • Proactive team player, able to work autonomously.

  • Credible and engaging, able to form strong relationships and effective communication with all levels within or outside the organization.

  • Able to influence people in a consulting way; facilitating and problem solving skills.

  • Experience in managing and developing Learning Management Systems (LMS).

  • Result driven, adaptable, and resilient as the role operates in a changing environment.

  • Proficient in English and Dutch language.

  • A gross monthly salary between €3.600,- and 5.800, gross per month, depending on your knowledge and experience.

  • 8% holiday allowance.

  • 40 paid holidays for full-time employment (27 vacation days and 13 ADV).

  • An excellent pension scheme (PME) and commuting allowance.

  • Profit sharing scheme.
