NBC Universal Sales Apprentice in Paris, France

NBCUniversal International Distribution is responsible for the distribution of NBCUniversal products to various TV and new media channels in over 200 territories outside the USA and Canada. This includes a vast catalog of over 4,200 feature films and 110,000 episodes of television programs, including recent and classic titles, unscripted programs, sports, news, long-form and short-form programming, as well as locally produced content from around the world. International Distribution is a division of Comcast NBCUniversal.

Within the TV Distribution department, your mission will be to assist the French sales team in the distribution of NBCUniversal content to linear and new media customers in France, various European countries (Belgium, Switzerland, Greece) and French-speaking Africa.

Your tasks will include:

  • Provide administrative support that includes the preparation of product reports and content availability lists

  • Assist the sales team in pitching content to clients and commercial negotiations follow-up

  • Prepare marketing presentations

  • Screen programs (scripted, unscripted) and identify potential interested clients

  • Monitor the marketplace for changes that impact sales activities and current market trends (programs broadcasted on French TV channels, audience tracking, new players, media chronology etc…)

  • Assist in preparing TV markets (MIPCOM, LA Screenings...) and/or screening events

  • Miscellaneous administrative tasks (appointment scheduling, diary management, expense reports, maintain client database etc.)

  • Bac+4/5 university degree ideally oriented in media/audiovisual/literary and artistic property/law/sales

  • Ideally, 4 days in the company and 1 day at school

  • Excellent level of written and spoken French (native speaker level)

  • Excellent fluency in English and good command of office tools (Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)

  • Eager to learn, Curiosity, rigor, autonomy, initiative, proactivity, passion for the media sector

  • Experience in a media company appreciated (but not mandatory)

  • Prioritization skills
