Brandmuscle Shipping Supervisor in Paterson, New Jersey
As a key team member of the plant, the Shipping Supervisor manages all aspects of the shipping department including personnel, processes, and procedures to meet daily shipping objectives.
Responsibilities
Manage shipping team to meet shipping goals and promote a team atmosphere within the department
Coordinate outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality of shipments
Determine priorities, staff assignments, and shipping methods required to meet schedule
Train, develop, and monitor the performance of the staff of 4-6
Complete shipments packaged by the department thru various shipping methods
Coordinate shipments with customers to multiple locations
Ship outgoing supplies to vendors for additional work
Follow daily shipping schedule to ensure all shipments are expedited
Ensure shipping area is organized and clean at all times
Assist with monthly and yearly inventories in the plant
Receive all incoming packages and deliver them to appropriate locations
Ensure shipping area is organized and clean at all times
Maintain proper inventory levels and usage of packing materials
Optimize use of shipping personnel to maximize productivity
Perform other related duties as assigned
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail.
Fast learner
Spanish / English Bi-Lingual is a REQUIREMENT
Must be flexible to work extended hours and some weekends as necessary
Requirements
Minimum 5 years related experience
Experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable
Bilingual in Spanish is a REQUIREMENT
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Highly motivated individual that is self-directed
Computer proficiency required
“Can do" attitude with multi-tasking capabilities
