The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) has a need for a Project Manager to support our potential government customer located in Patuxent River, MD.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze and coordinate the schedule, timeline, procurement, staffing, and budget of a product or service on a per project basis.

  • Lead and guide the work of technical staff.

  • May serve as a point of contact for the client or customer

  • As the project manager for the effort, ensure project procedures and controls are followed, manage manning and staffing project efforts, and lead problem resolution efforts.

  • Interfaces with system or program contractors, vendors, and Government representatives regarding the technical aspects of the programs/projects.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • BS or BA degree in Business Management

  • an AS or AA degree in Business or Project Management and eight (8) years of experience in business administration may be considered as a substitute.

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 5 years’ experience, with at least 2 years of supervisory/lead experience required, including financial management and admin activities experience.

  • Experience performing complex evaluations of existing procedures, processes, communication techniques, models, and/or systems related to management problems for a Chief of Staff for a major Legislative or Department of Defense (DoD) Echelon Command / Secretariat; experience supporting a Navy or Marine Corps Command Element preferred.

  • Must have experience supporting senior Navy and DoD leadership liaison operations, providing facilities management while managing all activities related to an organization remote from NAVAIR HQ, but as a tenant to another Command.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of SECNAV, OPNAV and OSD policy and documentation related to management, operations and life-cycle management of military acquisition programs.

    REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Must be able to obtain an active Secret clearance.
