Overview
TRANSITIONING SERVICE MEMBERS ONLY AS PART OF THE DOD SKILLBRIDGE PROGRAM
To offer eligible Service Members currently approved to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program the opportunity to gain first-hand experience and insight into Navy Federal’s business, technology, resources and procedures by providing support in focused areas, applying knowledge and education. This role will provide administrative support to Mortgage Loan Officers (MLOs) expediting the credit review process of mortgage applications. To receive and respond to inquiries from members regarding minimum required documentation to progress their mortgage applications.
Responsibilities
Provide support to assigned department; may work on small projects or portions of larger projects
Assist Loan Officers with document collection, follow-up functions via phone calls and electronically to members
Ensure progress and inclusion of required mortgage processing information (e.g. verifications of employment, assets, income and liabilities, etc.)
Review loan applications for completeness, data integrity and accuracy and to determine if additional and/or supporting documentation is required
Provide general mortgage related answers through HomeSquad or via phone as needed to members seeking quick responses
Provide a high level of expertise and member service to resolve moderately complex inquiries, requests, and problems
Re-Index documentation, if applicable
Provide back-up support to Loan Officers as needed
Provides exceptional customer service
May receive guidance and direction from management and / or senior-level staff
Assist and collaborate with various levels of staff to accomplish tasks / assignments
Collect, prepare and maintain data for analysis, reports and reference
Maintain professionalism in all interactions, placing member service as priority
Works within established standards, change control, policies and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned

Effective verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
Basic database, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software skills (e.g., Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30AM - 5:00PM

Salary Range: $19.76 - $30.29 (Potential salary if hired by Navy Federal as a full-time employee: SkillBridge participants are not eligible for compensation from Navy Federal, as they continue to receive military compensation and benefits as active-duty service members.)
