Job Summary: Gulf Coast Industrial is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Human Resources Manager. This position reports to the SVP of People, ASRC Industrial. The Senior Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading and managing the HR team across multiple states, overseeing the full spectrum of HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, training and development, and compliance with labor laws. The role is strategic and operational, ensuring that HR practices align with the organization's goals and contribute to a positive and productive workplace environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

HR Operations:

Manage day-to-day HR operations, such as responding to employee requests and maintaining HR systems

  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the organization's objectives

  • Drive initiatives that support organizational change, growth, and employee engagement

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures related to HR operations

  • Manage HR budget and expenses

Recruitment and Hiring:

  • Review resumes and applications, schedule and conduct interviews

  • Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain qualified candidates

  • Prepare and issue job offers

Employee Relations and Engagement:

  • Investigate and address employee complaints & concerns, ensuring timely resolution of issues

  • Mediate conflicts between employees and managers

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures related to employee relations

  • Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and conflict-resolution strategies

  • Develop and implement employee recognition programs

Performance Management:

  • Implement performance management policies and procedures

  • Implement and manage performance management systems, including setting performance standards and conducting employee evaluations

  • Provide guidance and support to managers on performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Manage employee benefits program, including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans

  • Respond to employee questions and concerns regarding benefits

  • Coordinate annual enrollment and communicate any changes to employees

  • Assist employees with claims and issues related to benefits

  • Regularly participate in compensation analysis reviews comparing internal pay structures with external market data

  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and industry standards

Training & Development:

  • Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills and career development

  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

  • Coordinate professional development opportunities

  • Conduct training sessions for new employees and ongoing training for current employees

Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies

  • Manage risk by developing and enforcing policies related to workplace safety and the prevention of discrimination and harassment

HR Metrics & Reporting:

  • Develop and monitor HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR initiatives and programs

  • Prepare and present reports to senior management on HR activities and outcomes

Leadership & Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team to achieve departmental and organizational goals

  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence within the HR department

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent experience; Master's degree preferred

  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role

  • Certifications: Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.

  • Skills:

-Strong leadership and people management skills

-Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities

-In-depth knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.

-Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills

-Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure

-Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Work Environment :

  • Physical Demands: Standard office environment; travel to sites and other operating companies across state lines will be required.

  • Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Friday, 7:00 AM - 11:00 AM
