U.S. Marine Corps INFORMATTION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (POLICY AND PLANNING) in Pentagon, Virginia

Responsibilities You will advise and support the implementation of strategies, programs and processes to integrate USMC, Joint, Naval and Coalition command, control, communications and computers initiatives. You will prepare senior leaders for meetings and engagements associated with the incumbent's portfolio items, and attend said events as required. You will represent IC4 and the Marine Corps at AO level working groups, planning teams, advisory groups/board, war games, etc. You will participate in the coordination of capabilities development, system development, fielding, sustainment and Fleet Marine Force advocacy for all expeditionary command, control, communications and computers issues. You will develop policies, guidelines, and standards for the planning, development, integration, implementation, and evaluation of information technology (IT) systems and subsystems that meet overall information needs of major organizational units. You will lead ongoing analysis of allocated communications and networking resources to ensure the operational requirements can be met within budget and resources allocation. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Demonstrated ability to develop and interpret policies, procedures, and strategies governing the planning and delivery of services; provide expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management on critical IT issues; And demonstrated experience with IT architecture, security concepts, standards, and methods. .
