About the Role:

In this role, you will lead the change management and adoption of Strategic Procurement & Planning Division’s transformation related to tools, processes and programs. This role provides leadership and expertise to drive change management execution for a variety of key programs and initiatives, specifically for the Global Planning & Demand Management team. This position will specifically be accountable for directly leading a global business transformation related to the modernization of our ordering environment.

What You Will Do:

  • Deploy the application of best practices in the Caterpillar Global Change Management model to mitigate risks and to drive early value-realization, achieving both tangible and intangible benefits.

  • Create a robust change plan that includes identifying global change targets by name, function, facility, and division to drive awareness and adoption of the program.

  • Execute the change management plan bringing in program team, Global Planning & Demand Management leadership, and Caterpillar experts as needed and/ or required.

  • Develop and maintain highly effective working relationships with the Global Planning & Demand Management team, business partners and key stakeholders.

  • Lead the development of the burning platform, create buy-in to the change, understand sponsorship responsibilities, develop communication messages, define process-structure-cultural-people changes needed and build sustainability into the change.

  • Partner with the Learning & Communications Team to deliver change management solutions, specifically leveraging Workday for internal training & behavioral changes.

What You Have:

  • Communicating for Impact: Knowledge of the concepts, tools and techniques for effective listening and communicating; ability to apply these theories to receive, transmit and accurately interpret information and ideas to influence others in various situations.

  • Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.

  • Organizational Change Management: Knowledge of techniques to successfully effect change in an organization and ability to manage the successful and smooth transition from current to desired culture, practices, structure, and overall organizational environment.

  • Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.

  • Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.

Education Requirement: The position typically requires a college or university degree or equivalent experience.

Top Candidates will also have:

Experience with Workday Learning Platform, Microsoft Applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Planner, PowerAutomate, Power BI, Project, etc.), and SAP or related ERP.

History & experience of successfully leading change management for a major/ critical business transformation.

Knowledge of large, multi-national matrixed organizations and the associated complexities and challenges.

Efficiency and responsiveness with executive skills and presence

Additional Information:

The primary location for this position is Peoria, IL.
