Job Summary:

Leads the development, testing and implementation of Product and Substance Compliance systems. This may include directing and participating in the concept and design of complex compliance processes, tools, or systems, for release to production in a manner to ensure superior performance, quality, security, efficiency, usability, and ongoing maintainability. This role will also support a wide range of business objectives, including the application of Artificial Intelligence to Product and Substance Compliance tools and technology, while adhering to standards and processes. You will work with a team of architects, engineers, and Subject Matter Experts to envision the target state of our technology capabilities, while helping to design and implement key solutions.

What You Will Do:

• Consult on client requirements and propose technology solutions and business cases

• Lead evaluating, selecting, and utilizing new and existing tools and techniques.

• Participate in developing, coding, and testing computer programs for multiple projects.

• Participate in preparing technical and procedural documentation required in application system development.

• Create detailed flowcharts to show processing logic for application programs.

• Execute solutions including coding, testing, debugging and documenting programs.

• Leverage knowledge of data structures and algorithms, computer architecture, machine learning, and Artificial Intelligence to develop solutions.

• Demonstrate excellent analytical skills and the ability to perform complex assignments.

• Be a self-starter with strong technical leadership skills

• Communicate technical information effectively with team members across the work group, other business units, dealers, and suppliers.

Education Requirement:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering or Computer Science curriculum.

Core Application Systems:

• Manages application-related issues, implications, and approaches with clients.

• Evaluates key interfaces and interdependencies among core applications systems.

• Explains features and benefits of core applications for consideration by business units.

• Implements existing and planned application enhancements in major business units, with effective change management.

• Tracks data flow between own applications and core applications in other business areas.

• Plans enhancement, conversion, and retirement strategies for core applications.

Problem Solving:

• Ensures capture of the problem statement and lessons to be learned from a problem-solving effort.

• Organizes potential problem solvers and leads problem resolution efforts.

• Uses varying problem-solving approaches and techniques as appropriate.

• Contributes to standard practices for problem-solving approaches, tools, and processes.

• Analyzes and synthesizes information and devises alternative resolution strategies.

• Develops successful resolutions to critical or wide-impact problems.

Application Design, Architecture:

• Creates and evaluates technical alternatives, including the use of Artificial Intelligence, for complex applications.

• Facilitates application design reviews and walkthroughs.

• Interprets application services such as API; integrates them with technical design.

• Develops various, distinct, and multiple technical application designs.

• Prepares technical design documents and blueprints for applications.

• Explores and evaluates application design considerations for multiple technologies.

Implementation:

• Researches the benefits and drawbacks of an organization's application software.

• Drafts application software usage for the department's needs.

• Tracks problems associated with the quality and effectiveness of application software.

• Provides hyper-care and instant support for end users of application software.

• Implements a specific application software under the supervision of management.

Requirements Analysis:

• Plays an active or leading role in recording and storing requirement documents in various forms.

• Ensures the successful completion of all major activities, tasks and deliverables pertaining to the requirements analysis stage.

• Effectively utilizes requirements analysis tools and services, including customer value mapping, use cases and prototyping.

• Produces detailed functional and information requirements models and documentation, and ensures traceability of requirements.

• Trains others on requirements walkthroughs and quality reviews.

• Utilizes AGILE methodology and tools

System and Technology Integration:

• Designs and develops applications or technology interfaces and bridges.

• Documents existing best practices for system or technology integration processes.

• Identifies and quantifies risks of proposed alternatives to a system or technology integration initiative.

• Delivers training on major issues, interfaces, considerations and potential pitfalls and risks.

• Performs Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis in order to mitigate data, technology and application integration issues.

• Advises others in how to integrate projects across multiple technologies.

System Testing:

• Verifies the proper flow of transactions across all input, output and storage channels or devices.

• Evaluates interoperability of new systems with existing systems during the beta testing phase.

• Supervises the testing of complex, multi-platform and distributed applications.

• Designs processes to ensure that the system meets and maintains requirements and expectations.

• Coaches end users on the development of test data and test scenarios for system validation.

• Manages the execution of test plans, including resources, strategies, schedules, processes and tools.

Technical Troubleshooting:

• Proactively discovers, analyzes, and resolves hardware, software or application problems.

• Works with vendor-specific diagnostic guides, tools and utilities.

• Handles issues related to system features, applications, and compatibility standards.

• Analyzes code, logs, and current systems as part of advanced troubleshooting.

• Records and reports specific technical problems, solving processes and tools that have been used.

The location for this position is Peoria, IL

Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position.

This position will require less than 10% travel.
