Robert Half Payroll Specialist in Perkiomenville, Pennsylvania

Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in the construction industry, based in Perkiomenville, Pennsylvania. The role involves various responsibilities within the accounting department, focusing on the preparation and management of weekly payroll.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the accurate preparation and entry of data for weekly payroll.

• Verifying the correctness of timesheets and computing wages to ensure employees are paid correctly and promptly.

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state regulations and guidelines.

• Assisting the accounting department administratively, including calculating weekly travel expenses.

• Creating accounts receivable invoices, coding documents, and entering accounts payable invoices into QuickBooks.

• Reviewing and checking invoice statements for accuracy.

• Utilizing QuickBooks, Word, and Excel to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.

• Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth operation within the accounting department.

• Prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet deadlines.

• Upholding a high level of detail orientation and strong numerical aptitude in all tasks.

Requirements • Must possess knowledge and experience in Payroll processing

• Proficient in the use of QuickBooks software

• Ability to review and verify timesheets for accuracy

• Experience in the construction/contractor industry preferred

• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations

• Strong problem-solving abilities

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.
