First Solar Inc R&D Device Physics Intern (Fall 2024) in Perrysburg, Ohio

Expected Length of Internship: 4 months, Fall 2024 As an internship company, we allow flexibility to enroll in classes while working as an intern, as long as it doesn't interfere with the essential functions of the position. Education/Experience: Must have completed Master's degree in mathematics, computer science, material science, solid-state physics, astronomy, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, or related field Must currently be enrolled in a PhD program fulfilling a graduation requirement for the degree. First Solar encourages all interns to register their internship with their university. Required Skills/Competencies: Demonstrated ability to develop functional codes in at least one of the following object-oriented programing languages: MATLAB, C++, C#. Clear and concise communication skills, verbal and written. Basic Internship Scope (Project): Participate in development of new and troubleshooting of existing simulation tools and perform device and process simulations against experimentally observed phenomena. Upon the completion of this internship, the intern is required to present their accomplishments and project summary to the leadership team. Estimated Salary Range: $17.00 - $27.27/Hour US Physical Requirements: All positions in our office require interaction with people and technology while either standing or sitting.
