IHG Assistant Night Manager | Full Time | Holiday Inn Perth City Centre in Perth, Australia

A little taste of your day-to-day:

As our Assistant Night Manager, reporting to the Night Manager & Rooms Division Manager, you will assist in managing and overseeing hotel operations overnight. The principal responsibility is the safety and security of guests & colleagues, and ensuring the accurate & timely completion of the night audit function. You will support the night team with their auditing tasks and in the absence of the Night Manager, you will be responsible for handling any emergencies.

This role is ideal for someone enjoys working overnight, working with numbers, and who wants to continue to consolidate their leadership & technical capability within a supportive environment.

This is a Full-Time position working overnights on a rotating roster weekdays, weekends and Public Holidays, from 11pm - 7am.

Mostly, you’ll be:

  • Supporting the Night Manager to manage guest experiences, team performance and hotel operations during the overnight shifts.

  • Prioritising workload and ensuring your team deliver authentic, memorable experiences while achieving the tasks at hand.

  • The first point of contact for any critical emergency situations in the absence of the Night Manager.

  • Processing payments including room charges, debit/credit, and cash in accordance with established procedures.

  • Checking guests in, out and managing any wake-up call requests.

  • Having authentic conversations with guests to resolve issues, queries or concerns.

  • Running night audit process on PMS (Opera) or manual equivalents.

To be successful in this role you will...

  • Be an approachable person and have a real passion for Making Guests Smile.

  • Possess at least 1 years' experience within a hotel Front Office role, with exposure to both Reception and Night Audit procedures.

  • Have a strong working knowledge on PMS (Opera).

  • Accounting and mathematics skills for accurate auditing and payment processing.

  • Have excellent problem solving, decision making and time management skills, to assist in managing multiple tasks, and varying guest situations.

  • Have highly developed written and verbal communication skills.

  • A full Australian Drivers Licence to assist with valet parking requests.

  • Unrestricted Australian working rights.

  • A Valid Approved Manager Licence is highly regarded.
