Group Leader, Transport – Western Australia is a new senior leadership role created to build on the recent success of our Western Australia business delivering multiple major Transport projects across the state. The business has a strong backlog and pipeline across Highways, Rail, Martime and Aviation sectors and is looking to invest in a leader who is passionate about growth.

Job Description

What will a day in this role look like?

  • Lead AECOM’s largest Group in Western Australia, and one of the most successful Transport businesses in the state

  • Refine and implement the business plan for the Transport Group in Western Australia, incorporating our Australia & New Zealand business strategic objectives and initiatives.

  • Develop a high profile with our key Transport sector government, private and contractor clients in Western Australia, helping position the business for future growth

  • Hold project governance roles on projects and managing the team effectively to achieve the project objectives and liaise with clients and stakeholders to meet their expectations.

  • Clearly communicate business priorities to the team and deliver high levels of engagement and respect in your leadership style.

  • Successfully deliver a program of projects i.e. adequately resourced, delivered on time/on budget, client satisfaction and commercially aligned with business expectations.

  • Be part of our Australia & New Zealand Transport Leadership Group and connect with ANZ and global peers to support workshare and successful client outcomes.

  • Connect our Western Australian clients to our global technical leaders to support project outcomes.

  • Development of safety first and project excellence culture.

Qualifications

What are we looking for from you?

  • Knowledge of Western Australian Transport market or demonstrated experience in market engagement and work winning in a similar market

  • Experience in successfully leading and developing teams

  • Demonstrated commercial acumen, and the ability to develop a strong client base

  • An effective leader with tenacity and drive to achieve outstanding results and grow the team.

  • Collaborative and willingness to share knowledge, experience, ideas, and expertise for the betterment of group and self

  • Relevant tertiary qualification with 15+ years of relevant experience
