DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:

The Production Support Associate - Level II performs non-production activities that support the manufacturing processes, ensuring quality and productivity requirements are met safely in a manufacturing environment. The role requires limited guidance and involves working closely with peers and various levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE):

  • Immediately stop work and report any major injury hazards.

  • Report work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, or hazards.

  • Comply with HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations.

  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment.

  • Promote a culture of interdependence by looking out for colleagues.

  • Correct hazards within your control and capabilities.

  • Minimize the environmental impact of your work and participate in HSE training.

Quality:

  • Follow all applicable standard work, process documentation, policies, and procedures.

  • Raise quality concerns to minimize costs and exposures.

  • Perform quality inspections and ensure adherence to quality standards.

Delivery:

  • Execute assigned activities according to defined roles and responsibilities.

  • Demonstrate high competency in core work skills.

  • Support continuous improvement activities to enhance quality, safety, processes, and employee development.

  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping tasks.

  • Apply Cummins Operating System (COS) practices and Operations Excellence (OE) methodology across the plant.

  • Remain flexible and perform miscellaneous duties as needed to meet manufacturing goals.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a diploma in any branch of Engineering is preferred.

  • May require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

  • 2 to 8 years of industry-related experience, with intermediate knowledge obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Operate machines to deliver qualitative output as per cycle time.

  • Work across all three shifts as required.

  • Maintain 5S standards and cleanliness of machines and surrounding areas.

  • Participate in continual improvement initiatives such as FIFI, Q-Pro, and Kaizen.

  • Ensure bottleneck machines run without interruption.

  • Enhance skill levels on machines and engage in Preventive and Process Maintenance.

  • Improve Right First Time (RFT) and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by addressing losses and rejections.

  • Adhere to break and shift start-end timings.

  • Plan leaves in coordination with the Manager to avoid equipment idle time.

  • Support other lines/functions as required by business needs.

  • Follow tasks assigned by the Team Leader/Manager.
