Operate Forklifts Safely and Efficiently:
- Operate sit-down, stand-up, and electric forklifts to transport goods and materials in warehouse or construction environments.
- Ensure safe and proper handling of materials to prevent damage and accidents.
Load and Unload Goods:
- Safely load and unload products from delivery trucks, pallets, and shelving units using forklifts.
- Ensure proper stacking of goods to optimize space and maintain warehouse organization.
Transport Materials:
- Move materials, tools, and equipment to different areas within the warehouse or job site.
- Transport large, bulky, or heavy items to designated storage locations.
Inventory Management:
- Assist in organizing and storing materials in inventory racks or shelves using forklifts.
- Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure accurate stock levels and assist with stock replenishment.
Maintain Forklift Equipment:
- Perform pre-operation checks, including inspecting tires, fluid levels, and safety features on forklifts before use.
- Report any forklift malfunctions or maintenance needs to supervisors for prompt repair.
Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and following OSHA guidelines.
- Ensure that work areas are clear of obstacles and that forklift traffic is safely managed.
Assist in Order Fulfillment:
- Work with warehouse staff to pull inventory and fulfill customer orders accurately and on time.
- Ensure proper labeling and handling of materials for shipment.
Warehouse Organization:
- Keep the warehouse clean and organized by maintaining clear aisles and ensuring proper storage practices.
- Monitor storage conditions to prevent damage to materials or inventory.
Coordinate with Team Members:
- Communicate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely movement of materials.
- Work closely with supervisors to prioritize tasks and meet shipping and receiving deadlines.
