Robert Half Accounting Manager in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Description

Robert Half is seeking an ambitious, experienced Accounting Manager for an immediate opening at a dynamic, progressive company. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of accounts receivables/payables, budgets, pay applications, draw requests, invoice review/processing, etc. This Accounting Manager role is hands-on and requires the candidate to work with various team leads in different departments. The ability to work independently, multi-task, problem-solve and meet deadlines that run in conjunction with the month-end close calendar is a must.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Conducting cash reconciliations and preparing and posting journal entries

  • Preparing and analyzing monthly working papers and general ledger account reconciliations

  • Managing tenant billing and cash receipts

  • Reviewing and posting payable invoices along with supporting lien waivers

  • Generating various recurring and ad hoc reports and projects

  • Monitoring utility accounts and communicating with vendors

  • Contributing to audits and tax compliance

  • Continuously improving processes for best-in-class performance

  • Utilizing accounting software, specifically Yardi, and ERP solutions to manage accounting functions

  • Applying knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) in daily tasks

  • Using experience in auditing and billing functions to ensure accuracy and efficiency

    Requirements

The ideal Accounting Manager candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education. MBA or CPA strongly recommended.

Other requirements for the Accounting Manager position include and are not limited to:

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with 2+ years of experience in a management role

  • Construction experience preferred

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

  • Experience with various accounting software and databases, prior Yardi experience preferred.

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with an emphasis on teamwork, initiative, and integrity.
