Summary:

The Application Specialist, Way to Health is responsible for designing, building and delivering programs within Way to Health to create workflow, process design and programming solutions to business problems. Responsibilities will also include client management, project management, supporting programs already built and addressing client needs on an ongoing basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the first point of contact for users, triaging support requests and directing unresolved issues to the next level of support.

  • Works with developers and senior product team to determine best solution based on issues and details provided by the user.

  • Assists in the planning, design and execution of system testing on simple to complex implementations.

  • Develops test plans, test cases, test scripts and test reports on a variety of projects and validates that user expectations are achieved during the testing process.

  • Attends planning and status meetings with key client personnel to understand project requirements and communicate our implementation methodology to the client.

  • Ensures information system functionality meets all clinical and business requirements of Integration and UPHS organization.

  • Coordinates new customer onboarding process including account setup and technical assistance around the design, building, testing and delivery of health behavior interventions on the platform.

  • Translates user needs into functional business requirements and liaises with users and developers to refine and develop workable solutions within the platform.

  • Assists in the education and training of new hires and other team members and be available as a resource for the team.

  • Provides intensive shoulder-to-shoulder and remote training to new project teams.

  • Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures.

  • Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization.

Education or Equivalent Experience:

Bachelor's degree. (Required)

2+ years of related experience in healthcare IT (Required).

Master of Arts or Science (Preferred).

Skills/Abilities:

  • COMMUNICATION: Demonstrated customer service skills

  • COMMUNICATION: Demonstrated interpersonal/verbal communication skills

  • COMMUNICATION: Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff

  • COMMUNICATION: Ability to communicate technical information and ideas

  • TECHNOLOGY: Knowledge of software-based logic and configurations i.e. how to translate requirements into what’s available within the software
