As the Associate Program Manager for energy efficiency programs, you will guide the formation of a cohesive, highly effective and agile team capable of delivering on client goals and priorities. The successful candidate will be highly organized, customer service oriented, and adept with data reporting and team management. Strong communication skills are key.

The Associate Program Manager works closely with a small team to manage the utility rebate programs' relationships with the service provider (or trade ally) community. The Associate Program Manager focuses on team management, trade ally/service provider management, and other technical services for utility energy efficiency rebate programs and their stakeholders. In this role, you would be responsible for leading your team in outreach to new and existing service providers, training service providers on participation requirements, tracking and reporting outreach outcomes, conducting market research, and facilitating communications and coordination across a Commercial Trade Ally/Service Provider network throughout the service territory. This position requires travel across southern New Jersey.

What you will be doing:

  • Develop and implement outreach strategies to recruit and engage service providers so that they will deliver energy efficiency projects utilizing program rebates

What we need you to have (minimum qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in (Energy/Environmental Studies, Communications, Business Admin, or related fields) and

  • 3+ years of experience in managing customer accounts, fostering relationships, and providing superior service. 

  • 3+ years of experience in creating and executing sales and/or outreach strategies or promoting utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs. OR

  • 7+ Proven experience in managing customer accounts, fostering relationships and providing superior service.

  • 7+ years of experience in creating and executing sales and/or outreach strategies or promoting utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs. AND

  • Must have valid driver’s license, able to pass an MVR and pass a background check and drug test. 

  • Must have a reliable vehicle for local travel. Requirements are between 30% to 75% of the time (reimbursement for mileage provided).

What we would like you to have:

  • Experience with leading a mission-oriented team and delivering results

  • Experience with and knowledge of energy efficiency

  • Experience working in or managing a trade ally/service provider network

  • Experience working in or around the trades

  • Experience scheduling and managing trainings or other events

  • Experience working with or managing databases a plus

  • Bilingual in English and any other language a plus

  • Work experience in team management

  • Customer-service oriented attitude

  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Products. Experience with a customer relations management (CRM) tool and databases is a plus.

  • Comfort with public speaking

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$64,273.00 - $135,392.00
