Printfly Senior Staff Accountant in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Printfly is looking for a Sr. Accountant
Our accounting team is growing and we are looking for a Sr. Accountant! With support from our Accounting Team, the Sr. Accountant role will undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, financial reporting, cash management, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as continue to improve on our existing system of internal control policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
Manage and process accounts payable - ensure we are maximizing our terms wherever possible and taking advantage of all available discounts
Manage and record accounts receivable payments made via check and wire
Review, manage, and record all bank transactions
Maintain the chart of accounts
Perform all elements of the month/year end close including journal entries, reconciliations and financial statement preparation. This includes reviewing our financials, providing insightful commentary/recommendations, identifying both positive and negative trends, etc.
Manage external audits by providing information to outside auditors (ie. - Reviewed Financials, Sales & Use Tax Audits)
Develop and maintain financial KPIs
Provide financial analyses as needed. This will be wide ranging and could include things such as capital investments, pricing decisions, contract negotiations, incentive/bonus plans, changes to production/operations processes, raw materials sourcing, etc.
Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
Requirements
Advanced Excel skills are a must!!!
3+ years of relevant experience (internships count)
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
Experience with creating financial statements
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
