Posting Details Position Information Senior Support Coach, Center for Male EngagementSCA00792The Senior Support Coach, Center for Male Engagement CME provides targeted services and programs within the CME including, but not limited to, daily programmatic oversight, including supervision of student peer coaches, ongoing case management, planning of the annual summer enrichment program, coordinating the delivery of academic support, career and leadership development, life skills and cultural enrichment activities to facilitate the academic and personal success of CME students. To help address broad economic, cultural and political concerns in the city and beyond, the College draws together students from a wide range of ages and backgrounds and seeks to provide the programs and support they need to achieve their goals. * Provide daily supervision of CME peer coaches work-study students. * Coordinate the delivery of academic support, career development, cultural enrichment, leadership development, and life skills activities. * Plan and coordinate summer enrichment program for first-time incoming CME students, including managing the summer program budget. * Work collaboratively with Enrollment Management and Marketing departments to develop a year-round recruitment strategy. * Assist the Director in the assessment of programs and services in accordance with the guidelines established in the grant. * Assist in daily data collection, assessment of programs, and bi-annual grant reports. * Manage a cohort of students and monitor students' retention and academic progress based on individualized academic, career, and financial plans. * When needed, assume an increased caseload size by providing transitional coaching support to CME students whose assigned Support Coach is unavailable due to temporary absence or organizational exit. * Provide peer mentorship and data-driven interventions to support CME Support Coaches, as well as those Support Coaches requiring specialized assistance with students on their assigned caseload. * Assist the Director, CME in the facilitation of Student Assistance Team SAT meetings,regularly reviewing student progress to identify and address the mitigation and removal of barriers impacting student retention and completion. * Collaborate with faculty and staff in other offices and departments across campus to develop and implement real-time academic and social support programming to improve retention and academic outcomes for students. * Screen and direct students to appropriate departments regarding enrollment and financial aid, academic counseling and advisement, basic needs and other social supports, and transfer options, including dual admission and graduation processes. * Participate on internal and external committees that align with CME's mission and established programmatic outcomes, as assigned by Director. * Participate in and facilitate on-campus and external professional development activities aligned with CME's mission and work. * Maintain sensitivity, understanding, and respect for a diverse academic environment, inclusive of students, faculty, and staff of varying social, economic, cultural, ideological, and ethnic backgrounds. * Deliver quality customer service to both internal and external constituents in a professional, helpful, and courteous manner. * Perform assigned duties in a manner consistent with the mission, goals, and core values of the College. * Perform other duties as assigned. * Bachelor's degree in student personnel, social services, higher education leadership or related field required. * Three 3 years direct experience working in an education or social service environment along with experience working with high-need and culturally diverse populations required. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel required. * Demonstrated competency in organizing data, maintaining files, and preparing reports required. * Demonstrated ability to develop and implement programming leading to increased retention and academic outcomes required. * Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds required. * Exceptional organization and planning skills required. * Excellent group facilitation and presentation skills. * Master's degree preferred. * Experience working in a higher education setting preferred. * Experience with managing budgets preferred. * Familiarity with integrated management software such as Banner, CANVAS, Starfish, Engage, as well as social media platforms preferred.
