Surgical Schedule Coordinators are responsible for the following:

Schedules surgical cases for physicians according to physician and patient preference.

Assists physicians with transfers, ER/direct admissions as needed.

Obtains all necessary referrals and pre-certifications for surgery and any testing.

The Surgical Schedule Coordinator will handle all tasks involving scheduling and precertification for surgical procedures. They will pre-certify all scheduled surgeries with insurance companies at least two weeks prior to scheduled surgery, or as soon as notified of surgery.

Qualifications for this position include:

High School Diploma or GED

Three (3) years experience in a surgical office preferred

Excellent customer service skills
