Position Summary

The clinical support analyst role on the CVS Clinical Account Services team is a great opportunity for an individual with analytical interest and skills in pharmacy and the managed care environment. The individual will work with clinical data and tools to help the clinical account team provide client-specific formulary and UM reporting as well as strategic clinical consultation to our client(s). Responsibilities may Include:

  • Building/maintaining client-specific formulary and UM databases/drug lists in an easily retrievable and customizable manner.

  • Supports clinical account team needs to meet client and regulatory formulary and UM reporting requirements.

  • Support clinical account team in providing data at various levels of granularity for drug utilization data, and status of drugs and UM on client formularies.

  • Supports clinical account team in communicating reporting of formulary changes to client as well as internal partners.

  • Clarifies needs and suggests innovative ideas to meet client/clinical account team requests.

  • Provides consultative analysis of data and suggests additional analysis, if appropriate.

  • Consistently performs quality checks on reports and ensures data is accurate before sharing with clinical account team.

  • Proactively suggest solutions and integrates best practices.

  • Leverages pre-built and self-built tools to support clinical account team data manipulation and interpretation needs.

  • Assists with reporting and analysis to identify utilization and support periodic and ad-hoc clinical mailings.

  • Take part in special projects and work groups as needed to improve efficiencies and client satisfaction.

  • Design and develop customized qualitative and quantitative solutions to meet internal and client needs.

  • Develop and implement mechanisms to automate tasks.

To be successful in this role, you will exhibit excellent attention to detail, communication and organization skills, and proficiency with data analysis packages, including but not limited to Microsoft Office software. You will also need to work effectively with the clinical account team as well as other teams at CVS Health such as Formulary Administration and Medical Affairs

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Microsoft Office suite including proficient skills utilizing Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a health plan, PBM, Pharmacy, benefits or insurance background.

  • Excellent presentation and oral/written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pharmacy technician certification.

  • Experience with Caremark business systems, formulary, drug, and client systems with an emphasis on drug management.

  • Experience with creating/maintaining access database tables, queries, report, macros with emphasis on VBA knowledge.

  • Experience using SharePoint, Heartbeat, RxArchitect. and RxNavigator.

  • Experience in using advanced analytical packages including but not limited to SAS.

  • Working knowledge of the different drug compendia adopted in PBM work.

  • Ability to learn multiple internal reporting and analytic tools for client management.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree of equivalent experience.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$40,600.00 - $85,100.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
