Job Summary
The Sr. Technical Solutions Architect ensures the organization’s solutions and infrastructure are performing at maximum capacity. They also design, develop, and implement software from the ground up, allowing the organization to keep step with the ever-changing digital landscape. They develop and improve commercial applications, data integrations, data analytical tools (for internal and external clients), and user interfaces. They also serve as an implementation support specialist ensuring clients achieve the maximum value of the organization’s software and services. This is a cross functional role working within product development organization, with a primary technical focus; however, the ideal candidate will have the capability and experience to act as a customer facing leader within THO supporting implementations and product development. In this case, the candidate will have the opportunity to develop support and participate in advancing digital solutions products from concept and testing all the way to launch ensuring new modules, features and enhancements are meeting THO strategic direction, branding, usability, and ultimately business objective standards.
Job Details/Responsibilities
Work with product managers and user experience designers to influence the strategy for the next wave of product features and system capabilities, identifying the best way to deliver capabilities
Act as a senior technical leader for THO in supporting and leading interactions with key development sites; this includes identifying, scoping and defining product features, data analytics, user experience, etc.; with the intent of accelerating ePRISM and Terumo’s digital solutions ecosystem.
Work with third party companies to build interfaces and clinical workflows with diagnostic, therapeutic and wearable technologies to deliver a digital ecosystem for customers addressing identified unmet needs.
Support implementation as key team member collaborating directly with hospital IT departments on technical integration efforts
Lead the visualization, design, and development of creative and innovative software platforms to integrate solutions, as we continue to experience dramatic growth in the usage and visibility of our products
Create scalable software platforms and applications, and efficient networking solutions that are unit tested, code reviewed, and checked regularly for continuous integration
Examine existing systems, identifying flaws and creating solutions to improve service uptime and time to-resolve through monitoring and automated remediation
Plan and execute full software development life cycles (SDLC) for each assigned project, adhering to company standards and expectations
Design and build tools and frameworks to automate development, testing deployment, management and monitoring of the company’s services and products
Grow existing software and infrastructure capabilities to handle growth, enabling the generation of insights and data products on all internal and external data via self-serve computing, reporting solutions, and interactive querying
Develop interface maps to multiple EHR HL7 data integration feeds, APIs to third-party EHR integration and APIs to the FHIR specification
Collaborate with global team, producing project work plans and analyzing the efficiency and feasibility of project operations, while leveraging global technology stack and making localized improvements
Track, document, and maintain software and infrastructure functionality—both internally and externally, leveraging opportunities to improve engineering productivity
Give a high level of attention to creating software and infrastructure platforms, keeping developers in step continuously without compromising reliability.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA)
.NET tech stack, SQL
Angular, JavaScript, Typescript
JSON, HL7, FHIR
Knowledge of schema design for both transactional and report instances
Knowledge of relational databases as well as ORM and SQL technologies
Proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, and content management systems
Web application development experience with multiple frameworks
Advanced Microsoft Excel user (e.g., array formulas, creating/modifying macros, advanced formulas [INDEX, MATCH, SUMPRODUCT, INDIRECT, OFFSET])
Qualifications/ Background Experiences
Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or information technology and minimum 10 years’ experience engineering software and networking platforms, SQL, C#, Javascript required or equivalent combination of education, training and relevant experience
Minimum of 5 years of related work in healthcare, hospital systems and/or payer required 10 years preferred
Proven experience designing interactive applications and networking platforms required.
Proven experience in documenting design processes, including development, testing, analytics, and troubleshooting required
Experience with rapid development cycles in a web-based environment required
Experience in scripting and test automation abilities required
Proven track record demonstrating a desire to continue to grow professional capabilities with ongoing training and educational opportunities required
