Aston Carter Workers Compensation Specialist in Pico Rivera, California

Job Title: Workers Compensation SpecialistJob Description

As a Workers Compensation Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the Corporate Workers Compensation Program and Claims for a company size of 1,000+. This includes incident investigation, claims submission and review, financial reserve recommendations, and managing health clinics and post-accident drug screening processes. You will serve as a liaison between our Safety Consultant Service and Branch and Manufacturing management, ensuring compliance and effective communication. Additionally, you will control Workers’ Compensation costs by managing medical claims, coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure speedy recovery and return to work, and using discretion to assign transitional duties. You will also manage the Leave of Absence process, handle Verifications of Employment, negotiate with health clinic and laboratory vendors, maintain corporate OSHA logs, and provide training on Workers’ Compensation related topics. Your role is crucial in generating and providing requested reports and information to governmental agencies, and you will report any unresolved compliance issues directly to the Director of Human Resources.

Work Environment

This role operates in an office setting and requires the candidate to work fully onsite. The standard working hours are from 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The dress code is business casual.
