At‌ ‌Colgate-Palmolive‌ ‌Company,‌ ‌we‌ ‌offer‌ ‌an‌ ‌exceptional‌ ‌internship‌ ‌program‌ ‌within‌ ‌the‌ ‌Global‌ ‌Information‌ ‌Technology‌ ‌Department.‌ The‌ ‌GIT Global Networks ‌Internship‌ ‌for‌ ‌Colgate-Palmolive‌ ‌is‌ ‌a‌ ‌six-month‌ ‌paid‌ ‌internship that will begin in the summer and continue into the fall with opportunity to extend beyond.

As‌ ‌a‌ ‌part‌ ‌of‌ ‌our‌ ‌Global Networks ‌Team‌,‌ ‌you‌ ‌will be exposed to many different network related architectures and technologies. The ideal candidate will be able to understand and articulate network concepts (TCP/IP, OSI Model, SASE, SDWAN, Enterprise Networking, etc) at a basic level, as well as have an interest in various aspects of Global Networking (Site/Campus, Hub/Data Center, LAN/WAN/WiFi)

Below are some of the main points of focus for the internship:

LAN (Local Area Network and Wireless):

  1. Participate in Remote Site design meetings inclusive of Cisco Catalyst Switching and Wireless Technologies

  2. Collaborate on the Colgate Data Center Network transformation, gaining experience on Cisco Nexus Switching, and related topics (VLANs, Routing, Segmentation, etc)

  3. Assist in day to day operations of supporting each of the above mentioned technologies

  4. Participate in the management of and provide feedback on Corporate Identity and Authorization services (Cisco ISE/TACACS)

  5. Participate in the management of and provide feedback on Corporate Monitoring tools such as Splunk and Cisco DNA.

Experiences will include working alongside Wide Area Network / Information Security Teams:

  1. Learn about Palo Alto SD-WAN and advanced networking technologies/operations

  2. Collaborate on the deployment of Palo Alto's Prisma Access for Mobile Users

  3. Participate in the planning and deployment of SD-WAN devices, as well as further integrations between SD-WAN and Prisma Access

  4. Assist with InfoSec Audit Actions, and learn about Enterprise Security

  5. Provide input in the design of Cloud/GCP networking

Requirements

  • Must‌ ‌be‌ ‌currently‌ ‌enrolled‌ ‌in‌ ‌bachelor’s‌ ‌or‌ ‌graduate‌ ‌program‌ ‌at‌ ‌a‌ ‌college‌ ‌or‌ ‌university‌ ‌

  • Pursuing‌ ‌a‌ ‌major‌ ‌in:‌ ‌Computer‌ ‌Science,‌ ‌Information‌ ‌Technology,‌ ‌Computer‌ ‌Engineering,‌ ‌Business/IT‌ ‌Systems‌ ‌Management‌ ‌or‌ ‌related‌ ‌fields with a graduation date of December 2024 or later

  • A‌ ‌minimum‌ ‌of‌ ‌2.8‌ ‌GPA‌ ‌

  • Authorized‌ ‌to‌ ‌work‌ ‌in‌ ‌the‌ ‌U.S.‌ ‌without‌ ‌requiring‌ ‌visa‌ ‌sponsorship‌ ‌now‌ ‌or‌ ‌in‌ ‌the‌ ‌future.‌ ‌

  • Technical‌ ‌knowledge‌ ‌and‌ ‌skills,‌ ‌completed‌ ‌course‌ ‌work,‌ ‌projects,‌ ‌or‌ ‌relevant‌ ‌work‌ ‌related‌ ‌experience‌ ‌

  • Familiarity‌ ‌with‌ ‌programming‌ ‌languages‌ ‌and‌ ‌web-related‌ ‌technologies‌ ‌ ‌

  • Familiarity with IT Networking or an interest in learning about IT Networking

  • Must be available to work hybrid at our Piscataway, NJ office location

  • Every Tuesday or Wednesday preferred, hours can be flexible

  • This position requires a 6-month commitment (June-December)

  • Must be available to work up to 30 hours/week during the summer

  • Must be available to work up to 15 hours/week during the academic semester

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range $21.75 - $31.00 USD

Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.

Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefits plans then in effect, all salaried employees are also eligible for a competitive benefits package which includes:

  • Insurance: Employees (and their eligible dependents) are eligible to participate in Company-sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, Basic Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Disability insurance plans.

  • Retirement Plans: Employees are eligible to enroll in Colgate's 401(k) plan, which provides for company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements

  • Vacation/PTO: Employees receive a minimum of 15 days of vacation/PTO leave annually

  • Paid Holidays: Employees receive a minimum of 13 paid/floating holidays annually

  • Paid Sick Leave: Based on location and consistent with applicable state and local law, employees receive a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave on January 1st of each year

  • Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees may take up to eight weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of unpaid leave (varies for employees with fewer than 12 months of service and is subject to hours worked requirements)
