Job Description

Insight Global is seeing a JIRA Cloud Migration Specialist who will be responsible for managing and executing the migration of JIRA from on-premises datacenter environments to cloud-based solutions for a local Pittsburgh client. This role requires a deep understanding of JIRA architecture, migration strategies, and cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience in JIRA administration and cloud platforms. This person will handle various projects, including data transfer, system configuration, user setup, and ensuring data security and compliance. They will conduct thorough assessments of current environments, develop detailed migration plans, and perform rigorous testing to ensure data integrity and system performance.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable leading migration projects from planning through to completion. Excellent communication skills are essential, as this role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting to stakeholders at all levels.

Skills and Requirements

7 Years experience in migrating JIRA from data center to cloud environments

 7 Year experience with data transfer, system configuration, and user setup

 Deep understanding of JIRA architecture, migration strategies, and cloud technologies

o Experience with tools like JSU, JMWE, eazyBI, and Assets

 Strong scripting skills for automation (e.g., Scriptrunner)

 Knowledge of data security and compliance requirements in cloud environments

 Ability to perform rigorous testing to ensure data integrity and system performance

 Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting to stakeholders null
