Wabtec Corporation Oracle EBS Principal Architect in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Who will you be working with?

Our best-in-class ERP Platforms team has overarching responsibility for driving consistent ERP delivery across the global Wabtec team.

How will you make a difference?

As a member of our ERP Digital Operations team, will be responsible for acting as the Principal Architect within the Supply Chain modules of Wabtec’s Oracle EBS instances. In this role you will be expected to lead the design process and partner with technical leads across the supply chain teams to define flexible solutions associated to ERP projects across the Edison and Westinghouse Oracle instances. Secondary duties will include setting design standards and processes to be leveraged across the Oracle instances.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Lead the design of complex Oracle EBS solutions, including integrations with other systems.

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams, including architects, developers, and testers.

  • Ensure the alignment of Oracle EBS solutions with business requirements and IT strategy.

  • Develop and maintain standards for detailed technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, design specifications, and implementation plans.

  • Assist operations in troubleshooting technical issues as it relates to its initial design.

  • Stay current on the latest Oracle EBS technologies and best practices.

  • Mentor junior architects and developers.

  • Participate in the evaluation and selection of new Oracle EBS technologies.

  • Work, in partnership with technical leads and business stakeholders, to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.

What do we want to know about you?

You must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). Other majors will be considered with applicable career experience in the Information Technology field.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in an information systems design, implementation or operations with focus on Oracle EBS R12

  • Ability to read/understand SQL, PL/SQL.

  • Knowledge and familiarity in underlying Oracle ERP applications database architecture, as well as Oracle database and development tools

  • Knowledge of Project and Software Development Life Cycle Methodologies Capable of planning and organizing work and processes in a continuously moving support model.

We would love it if you had:

  • Desired Technical Skills

  • Understanding the key tables and process architecture of one or more of the Oracle EBS process cycles of Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Inventory or Manufacturing

  • Functional knowledge of one or more other Oracle base modules including Purchasing, Inventory, WIP, Shipping Execution, and/or Accounts Receivable.

  • Ability to work within project teams to design and deliver business solutions that are compliant and in line with functional requirements.

  • Ability to create and execute test plans as well to create requirement and design documents

  • Global mindset, ability to manage and collaborate across a broad and diverse set of stakeholders

  • Ability to coach & train, motivate peers to adopt standards & methodologies

  • Desired Interpersonal skills.

  • Strong interpersonal, and leadership skills, with proven abilities to communicate complex topics to peers in a simple, clear, plan oriented manner

  • Ability to anticipate obstacles and develop plans to resolve those obstacles

  • Strong oral and written communication skills (English)

  • Strategic and clear thinking to translate discreet and complex ideas to business-driven results

Work Environment:

  • The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable environmental elements are generally absent during normal performance of job.

Occasional travel to manufacturing environments where exposure to outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind, noisy environments, and potentially hazardous conditions. In those environments, employees must follow all applicable safety and PPE guidelines

This role is also eligible for a performance bonus.

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The salary range for this role is between

$102,500.00-$146,000.00

The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. More information on offered benefits, which include health, welfare, and retirement, are available at mywabtecbenefits.com . Other benefit offerings for this role may include an annual bonus, if eligible.
