DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Howmet Aerospace is currently in search of a Power BI Specialist to join our Global Information Services (GIS) Resource Unit at the Howmet Corporate Center in Pittsburgh, PA. This role is a key partner to our Analytics and Marketing functions, developing dashboards for both strategic and tactical initiatives. In this highly collaborative position, you will work closely with business segments to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes, as well as internal technical team on information sources and architecture. In this role you will maintain current Power BI data structure, identify and implement solutions to maintain data models and reporting, and build new reports and dashboards. You will manage new development as well as support, maintenance, or enhancement of existing applications.

Major activities/Key challenges:  * Create Power BI dashboards and reports. Design, build and deploy BI solutions, including the development of visualization tools  * Govern the Power BI enterprise environment as it relates to tenant configuration, gateway architecture, monthly releases, Premium capacity metrics, deployment standards and providing insights into use, ownership, and security  * Design and develop tabular cubes/models for optimal performance and ease of use  * Implement, enhance, and triage existing stored procedures and packages employed in the overnight or real-time integration with source systems  * Partner with business and technical project teams to design/develop interactive data visualization, using Power BI, based on business needs  * Apply advanced Power BI development skills including DAX and PowerQuery for delivering complex solutions and data management techniques  * Gather business requirements for data / analytics reporting; design and generate reports in timely and accurate manner  * Design new visualization combining previously disparate data types  * Maintain current BI data model and also proactively develop and enhance common data models that can be used across the business and multiple analytical tools, advancing the organization's data strategy, integrity, and quality  * Coordinate with internal stakeholders to determine business reporting and analysis requirements  * Track metrics for strategic initiatives  * Train business users on best practices for leveraging reports and dashboards

Essential Knowledge & Skills:  * A solid understanding of systems analysis, design, and programming techniques  * A customer service mindset with a willingness to provide creative problem-solving solutions to meet the needs of customers  * Well-developed interpersonal skills, able to build trusting relationships with internal and external customers, other analysts, and senior leadership  * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively horizontally and vertically within the company  * Sound decision making, capable of resolving open items swiftly and efficiently  * Solid project management and organizational skills; capable of coordinating processes and projects cross-functionally, presenting and effectively interacting with audiences at all levels  * Practices continuous learning, interested in learning and mastering new technologies and techniques to improve processes and systems  * Self-motivation, capable of taking initiative to proactively problem solve and identify solutions with minimal oversight

Basic Qualifications:  * Associate's degree from an accredited institution.  * Minimum of 6 years' experience in information technology  * Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Power Bi Administration or Developer  * Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred Qualifications:  * Bachelor's degree in Com uter Science, Business or Math

Salary range: $100,000 - $120,000 year approximation (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to factors such as education, experience, skillset, and/or location).
