Raw Materials Operations Lead - JR2421064
DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: As Raw Materials Operations Lead - your team supports the United States and Canada (USCA) and is part of PPG's Global Supply Management (GSM) function. The regional operations team will be a bridge between the global sourcing team and the materials management teams at the USCA manufacturing plants, providing exceptional service through teamwork and collaboration between supplier, site, sourcing and supporting functions. You will report to the Raw Material Ops Supervisor and can be at Cleveland, OH, Oak Creek, WI, or the General Office in Pittsburgh, PA. Minimal travel is required for site visits. This will be a hybrid position with three days required from the office.
Key Responsibilities: * Single point of contact within Procurement. * Assist Category Managers in implementing sourcing decisions. * First point of contact for escalations. * Resolve supply issues per escalation process. * Facilitate rebalancing/sharing of demand across sites. * Utilizing OTIF and CAIR, drive supplier performance improvement, facilitate claims resolution. * Understand site requirements and support SBU/site efficiency projects. * Support communications between SBU and Procurement. * Strong, responsive relationships with site materials managers, quality, and plant leadership. * Support working capital improvements. * Ensure sites are compliant with purchasing policies.
Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a Technical field. * 5+ years of experience within Supply Chain, Purchasing, Manufacturing, or Technical. * Takes responsibility and see's tasks from start to finish. Proactively approaches problems. * Organizationally savvy. Experience with influencing internal and external relationships. Comfortable in operating with autonomy. * Structured, detail, and process orientated. Establishes efficient review processes, identify issues and applies root cause methodology. * Comfortable multi-tasking across a complex mix of sites, suppliers, raw materials, and stakeholders.
