JPMorgan Chase Regional Sales Director, Subaru Motors Finance in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

As a Regional Sales Director in Auto Finance, you will develop and build relationships with Subaru retailers and with the Subaru manufacturing team, developing a broad territory sales strategy to grow the portfolio through originating consumer auto loans and leases, and developing retailer engagement plans to ensure alignment and execution of strategies in support of Subaru of America's objectives. The Sales Director will develop and execute regional market strategies and servicing plans to grow market share, achieve volume goals and meet revenue targets while driving dealer satisfaction through delivery of contractual and customer service commitments. This role also requires strong internal partner engagement with Dealer Commercial Services, Pricing, Finance, Marketing, Data & Analytics, Product, Servicing & Operations, Vehicle Remarketing, Legal, Controls, Risk, and Compliance.

The Regional Sales Director will directly manage a remote sales team of Dealer Relationship Managers covering multiple states or large geographic markets which service Subaru of America retailers. This will include quarterly joint retailer visits, coaching, professional development, performance management, expense management, hiring and training.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop relationship management strategies with key Subaru and Subaru retailer decision makers in assigned territory

  • Define, drive and measure appropriate business targets and key performance metric goals for remote team of dedicated Dealer Relationship Managers, ensuring adherence to contractual service level agreements

  • Cross-sell Dealer Commercial Services to Subaru retailers

  • Partner with Subaru, retailers and Vehicle Remarketing to develop effective lease-end and repurchase programs and processes designed to support loyalty, certified pre-owned, and vehicle values

  • Engage with cross-functional internal teams to drive internal objectives and projects related to profitability, pricing, service levels, etc.

  • Lead efforts to obtain competitor intelligence to influence product pricing and features

  • Drive efficient reporting as well as process improvement to enable execution

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • 7+ years of relevant sales and business relationship experience in financial industry

  • 5+ years of experience in auto captive, auto finance, or direct to consumer lending

  • Knowledge of commercial banking, consumer banking, consumer credit

  • Sense of urgency with disposition to execute

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and execution skills; insight and ability to proactively identify opportunities to innovate and improve the business

  • Must have experience managing teams and developing individual team members with an open, collaborative, team-oriented operating style

  • BS degree or equivalent experience required

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • MBA or graduate degree strongly preferred

  • Strong people leadership, relationship development and negotiating skills; ability to earn respect and trust among internal and external business partners and team members

  • A high level of personal initiative, setting and achieving challenging goals, and demonstrating entrepreneurial leadership
