DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Arconic is currently seeking a Senior Category Manager, Direct Materials to join our Procurement Team based in Pittsburgh, PA. This position reports to the Senior Director, Metal procurement. The successful candidate will be responsible for several assigned alloying materials used in production. This includes the management of critical supplier relationships The overall goal is to achieve the best total cost position for all external spend within the Categories, the lowest sourcing risks, and best supplier performance to ensure the highest efficiency and effectiveness of the procurement team. QUALIFICATIONS Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree from an accredited Institution. * 7 years of experience in purchasing management. * Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of Hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications: * Prior experience in alloy purchasing within the metals industry. * MBA in Business Administration/Economics or similar * 2 years international purchasing management * Innovative, Strategic thinker * Customer-oriented with business acumen * Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
